TEARDROPS / MIXIN' LOVE (LP)

Teardrops, led by Fujio Yamaguchi (ex. Murahachibu), have released two of their classic albums from their Toshiba EMI days, "Rakugaki" and "MIXIN' LOVE," newly remastered and available on vinyl!
Includes a bonus track, "Tanima no Uta" (lyrics by Kiyoshiro Imawano, music by Fujio Yamaguchi), which was banned from broadcast on FM Tokyo radio stations and caused a stir.

In January 1990, TEARDROPS embarked on an endless recording journey from San Francisco to Jamaica, produced by Makoto Kubota.
The album "MIXIN' LOVE" is the band's second release on Toshiba EMI and their third album. The basic recording was done at Record Plant Studios in Sausalito, San Francisco, and dubbing was done at Mixing Love Studios in Jamaica, with any remaining tracks being recorded at Image Recording Studios in Los Angeles.
Kiyoshiro Imawano collaborated with Sly & Robbie, who happened to be in Japan to record "Song of the Valley," a poem he had written and sent to Fujio Yamaguchi. This led to Makoto Kubota, who had worked with them, being entrusted with producing the album.
The recording took just over a month. The cover photo was taken by world-famous photographer Henry Diltz on a very windy day on a mountain in San Francisco. The original album was released on May 30, 1990.
