Tokyo Local Honk is a Japanese rock band that defies genre categorization, unlike anyone else's, and somehow nostalgic. And even in the big city of Tokyo, they never forget their pride in being local. This is their pride. Just after the New Year in 2001, the band members and producer Kubota Makoto flew to Singapore. This first album is a masterpiece created through the collaborative efforts of the two. This ambivalence between novice and experienced is what makes Tokyo Local Honk so appealing. Formed in 1994 as the rock band "Uzumaki," the band changed its name to "Tokyo Local Honk" in 2001. To date, they have released four albums, including a live album. They have collaborated with other artists, participated in productions, and even composed music for documentaries. While striving for excellence in lyrics, melody, harmony, arrangements, and performance, the four-piece band's unbalanced spirit of service does not extend to staging and audience interaction. (Currently, one member has temporarily left the band, so the band is active as a trio.)

Before we know it, Uzumaki will be releasing a new album this fall, marking the 30th anniversary of their formation. This fun band continues to move forward, driven by the belief that "pursuing the small truths, goodness, and beauty found in everyday life will open up new possibilities in these stagnant times."
