Yano Makoto's first solo vocal pop album in 22 years will be released on LP

The lyrics were written by poets Shuntaro Tanikawa, Minami Kaiko, and Tomoko Okabe, as well as Naoko Shiragami, and Kimiko Komine of ZABADAK. The performance was centered around Yano Makoto's piano and keyboards, with vocals by Yoko Hirata, Kazuyo Kano, and Naoko Shiragami, and a simple guitar-less arrangement featuring Mari Sekine on percussion, Wataru Ohmitsu on drums, and Rei Kondo on bass. The unique arrangements, which no one can imitate, have resulted in music that is unlike anything else.

[Makoto Yano]

Composer, arranger, producer, and pianist. Since the early 1970s, he has worked with Keiichi Suzuki, Haruomi Hosono, Takashi Matsumoto, and Kyohei Tsutsumi. In 1972, he made his debut as a composer and arranger for artists such as Ayumi Ishida, Saori Minami, and Bread & Butter. Since then, he has worked with Shokichi Kina, Minako Yoshida, Akiko Yano, Yoshitaka Minami, Seri Ishikawa, and Morio Agata, pioneering a new music scene. He has also arranged and produced for many artists, including Yosui Inoue, Moonriders, Unicorn, and Sunny Day Service. He began his solo career in 1990.
